I am not a RTK/Kingdom watcher, so Im going to use these recaps to kindof see whats going on. However, two things to note about skz. They do have a sizable domestic fandom, though. ATEEZ is my favorite group out of the competitors, and because of that I know they have more to offer than they showed in this stage. Its all about playing with momentum and energy in performances like this. You know how MNET works so it isnt new nor surprising for them to treat all the groups equally. For too long, it just felt like they were jumping around without any real storytelling. They made use of their numbers and experience well for their stage but seriousness was all over them and I hope they will enjoy more their next performances for Kingdom as the group is an all-rounder in terms of vocal, rap and performance. SKZ is really known for their dark concept which was also a good introduction stage for their group. The Boyz - Kingdom Come The Boyz have been very up-and-down throughout Kingdom a completely different experience from their consistent dominance on Road to Kingdom. I think one huge thing that sets RTK/Kingdom is the lack of a live audience. So, the editing of each performances may inadvertently factor into my rankings. In the end, this was always going to be a popularity contest to some extent. I feel like they are the real winners of Kingdom this yearkinda like OhMyGirl and Queendom. They are actually really really talented and have great songs only just to waste it on walking (Also they get barely any screen-time to begin with). Kind of remarkable how much worse this was compared to Road to Kingdom. I still understand why people loved it. The episode starts with the arrival of The Boyz, and its like dj vu all over again. As with all the groups, I think their Kingdom run has been hit or miss, but generally on the strong side. The Boyz have been very up-and-down throughout Kingdom a completely different experience from their consistent dominance on Road to Kingdom. If I have to see a crown resting on a podium again, itll be too soon. But they still ranked above iKON? Theyre still basking in that glory as they meet for drinks in what looks like a large, fancy greenhouse. Gone are the illusions of an early night. The sequel to "Queendom," "Kingdom" is MNET's new survival show.
