A car was blown off the road, over a fence, and into a field. The tornado was about three blocks wide in Charlestown. A Short History of the Mayo Clinic. Note also whether any object is carried up straight in the funnel, or whether it is borne along in the swift wind. One of the barns was 30 x 80, one was 150 x 100, and one was 12 x 16 along with numerous sheds destroyed, and debris was thrown in all directions downwind up to 500 yards.
